Westfields Shopping Centre – Colin Jackson and Greg Rutherford

A major retail provider, with shopping malls across the UK, was keen to open some new outlets in the run up to London 2012. So, we certainly brought the Olympic spirit – courtesy of former 110 metres Hurdles champion, Colin Jackson, and London long jump hopeful, Greg Rutherford.

With Colin (now a renowned BBC TV broadcaster) as MC, an actual long jump pit and runway were created and placed centre stage – with Greg showcasing his talents for fans and delivering a master class for some specially chosen local athletes.

This was all just before completing his dream of winning the London Olympics, under the shadow of one of the flagship shopping outlets in question – Westfields in Stratford, East London.
