REVAMPED RESTAURANT’S SAINTLY DEED FOR CHARITY

When popular Pelsall restaurant The Moghul Palace re-launched, following an extensive refurb, we suggested linking up with a local charity to give the occasion extra layers and legs…

Consequently, £500 was raised for palliative care hospice St Giles Walsall, via a complimentary banquet for 40 loyal customers and dignitaries, whereby guests dined for free but were happy to make a donation based on what they believed the meal was worth?

Moghul Palace proprietor Fareed Miah explains: “St Giles do a wonderful job in the local community, but rely heavily on donations, so we were only too glad to help – and our re-launch seemed the perfect opportunity. The refurbishment is all about giving something back to our regulars and enhancing their experience with us, so we hope to do a lot more with St Giles in the future too.

“We thought the event would be good but we didn’t think it would be the success that it was! This wouldn’t have happened without Beyond 400 – from start to finish every detail was considered and so many people on the night commented on what a great evening it was. The post event PR has really helped with our awareness and footfall too.”

Beyond 400 sourced the charity, managed the guest list and evening’s entertainment, provided an MC and secured 10 separate pieces of coverage locally, plus to conclude proceedings guests let off a balloon each (some filled with golden tickets for complimentary meals -and the last time the Moghul Palace did this a couple from Middlesbrough in the North East found one and built a wonderful long weekend in the West Midlands around redeeming it.
